District Cub Activity Day - Sunday 14th June 2009 - Dorney Wood Camp Site

40 Cubs from Slough District attended the activity day in glorious sunshine

Cubs took part in the following bases:- Scavenger Hunt, Cooking pancakes on a tin with candles, Trails and Tracking, Blindfolded tasting and feeling and smelling base, Making a balloon catapult and launching water bombs!

Following lunch we then played team games which was then followed by a camp fire.

After the camp fire it was time for hot dogs, cake and soup and squash

Then we all went home happy and tired

Many thanks to all Leaders who supported this event and organised the bases, thanks to the Explorers for their base to Ringo for the camp fire and to Graham for cooking all those sausages!!

Slough District Sixers & Seconders had a brilliant camp. The Cubs worked extremely hard all weekend. the weather was great and everybody really enjoyed themselves.

The Cubs helped put up and take down all tentage. They cooked their dinner and breakfast on open fires. They all gained Hikes Away Stage 1 and Emergency Aid stage 1 badges. They took part in Scouts Own, had lunch then it was time to strike camp and go home.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody involved in this camp it was a great sucess. here's to next years!!
